IMX-101 explosive is effectively a “drop-in” replacement for TNT in melt-cast LAP operations. BAE Systems at Holston AAP has robust manufacturing processes and essentially unlimited capacity for both the IM ingredients (i.e. DNAN, NTO, etc) and melt-cast formulations.

Particular detail will be spent on comparison of the resulting granular version of IMX-104 to the standard melt cast material currently manufactured at HSAAP. 2018年5月15日 · IMX-101 and IMX-104 are made by melt-casting during which NTO, NQ, and RDX crystals are added to the molten DNAN. Since DNAN is less soluble than NTO and NQ, it can shield these compounds from dissolution after they are lost from the particle surface and thereby cause concentration decreases over time.
