This build thread is going to detail my progress toward transforming my 2008 Husqvarna TE610 from a great thumper into something with some real long-distance travel ability. The 610 that was in production up until 1999/2000 changed to being a TE570. That is, was the engine of the 610, but with the plastics and look of the other models of its time.

2011年12月21日 · You can tell it was from the Italian era of Husky due to the sexiness of it. Since this thread is quite old I might make my own thread about it. One thing that annoys me is that when ever I Google search for "husqvarna 610 sm" it always brings up threads on forums related to the new model, not the 2000 model which looks way nicer than the new one.

2009年10月19日 · I had a 2002 610 SM for two years (10,000 miles)never had a problem with it a very reliable bike, the most fun I´ve had over secondary twisty roads and a great urban weapon. Only drawbacks: limited range on stock gas tank (around 70 miles), hard seat for extended rides, no wind protection I mean 0, nil, nada.

2006年8月6日 · Here is some stuff I posted at Huskytalk for removal of emissions stuff from the 610: Disconnect the carb vent lines/fuel lines and remove the tank and the headlight unit. Take a look at what goes where... where the hoses go.

2004年1月19日 · My '03 610 will cruise at 80 mph all day long turning only 4500 rpm, I think the newer 610 may be geared slightly lower but I'm sure they will have no problem on the freeway. The seat is the only issue for that kind of trip.

2004年5月10日 · I mean, a fresh suspension, adjusting the valves and timing chain should yield a great machine that is pretty durable. The TE610 was made in the sweet spot, when Husqvarna was owned by Cagiva, a Italian performance and design, Swedish craftsmanship. A friend's TE had a MV Agusta sticker on the swingarm from the factory.
