2002年1月2日 · When my Vaquero Grande, a Cold Steel blade with those frustrating, tiny serrations, gets dull, I steel it on the flat side, which straightens the edge just fine. I think your nippers will work a lot better just doing the cutting edge, closed, that goes against the cuticle. (( BTW, "Benyamin" is a second name, like 'Billy Bob', not a family name ))

2010年3月10日 · I havent used scissors before so therefore use nippers. I haven't used them much through as I don't tend to cut anything off unless it is hangnails or loose bits of skin that won't budge. Make sure it is the cuticle you are removing and not the eponichiam as this is living tissue and should be removed.

2006年10月21日 · I use my pusher/cuticle instrument to push back the cuticle (dead tissue) off the nail plate. You then end up with an excess of cuticle around the eponychium. You can use your nippers to carefully remove this BUT be CAREFUL NOT to cut the eponychium. I also use my nippers to remove dead loose peeled skin and hang nails from around the nails. HTH xx

2005年7月15日 · Cuticle is made up of exfoliated skin cells from the folds of skin surrounding the nail unit. Cuticle is non-living. Cuticle is NOT pterygium (which is an over growth of skin cells). Cuticle is not the eponychium (which is living skin surrounding the base of the nail unit). Cuticle is not true cuticle as opposed to false cuticle, it IS cuticle.

Although I was only using gentle pressure each time I pulled the tool back over the nail, tiny strands of the nail bed were 'peeling up' form the nail bed.

2008年3月18日 · The cuticle is only the none living tissue attached to the nail plate, I think by the fact you are worried about making the client bleed, you may mean the eponychium, Nipping or cutting this can actually encourage it to grow thicker, its the body's natural defense.
