Hon Hai Precision is used in Sony gaming consoles. Both of my PS4s show up as Hon Hai Precision when I'm looking at connected clients through my router interface. Sony Playstations will routinely phone home and perform/download updates when they are in resting mode. Hon Hai, not coincidentally, is also the corporate name of Foxconn.

2019年5月27日 · Hon Hai Precision Industries aka Foxconn is the manufacturer for a large number of branded electronic products for the likes of Apple and Sony. Looks like they are using MAC addresses issued to them rather than their customer.

Several unknown connected devices to Starlink Wifi
2022年8月7日 · Not sure if I already posted this to the correct forum but here goes again. I have several unknown devices connected to my Starlink home wifi connection. Three of the unknown devices show up as companies located in China. Two of the companies have the following names: Hon Hai Precision Ind and Tenda Technology Ltd Dongguan Branch.

I looked up the MAC addresses, the only information I could find on them was the manufacturer, which was Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd, which apparently is the biggest contract manufacturer of technology in the world, including iPhones, iPads, game consoles, etc. I bought the Chromecasts straight from the Google store.
