2018年5月1日 · @ainsle14, welcome to connect and I have chronic pancreatitis, so I have dealt with a diagnosis of elevated lipase quite a bit, but it has always been accompanied by an elevated amylase count also.
Elevated amylase and lipase but pancreas appears normal.
2019年10月27日 · My lipase level was high, but only 160. Amylase was normal. CT Scan and MRI showed mild pancreatitis. Had an endoscopic ultra sound and it showed head of pancreas swollen. Biopsy showed inflammation. Doc discovered that I have an auto immune pancreas, which can mimic pancreatic cancer. Biosy showed no cancer. Steroids was my RX.

2019年10月27日 · I have had high lipase and amylase for a year now. MRCP showed normal pancreas and no inflammation. Ultrasound also showed no inflammation. When my levels are high I have zero symptoms of pancreatitis. EGD was normal. I am gaining weight and can’t lose weight. The only symptom I have is a weird “catching feeling” under my left ribs.

2022年6月17日 · Amylase and Lipase levels indicate issues with your pancreas. The tail of the pancreas is on the left side. You sound like you may have pancreatitis but not sure why someone has not done further testing well before this. The weight loss and ongoing symptoms would be worrisome. Hopefully you are not anemic.
Anyone have high lipase and amylase before diagnosis?

Am I correct in assuming you do not have pancreatic cancer, but amylase and lipase tests were order to investigate a different diagnosis, like pancreatitis? What symptoms lead to your doctor ordering tests?

Elevated liver enzymes after gallbladder removal
2020年5月14日 · 20 yrs ago, my brothers Gallbladder burst. He was quite sick and in the hospital for 6 weeks. After recovery, his liver enzymes were high for all those years. The doctors all thought he was drinking when he wasn't. Consequently, it turned out that when his gallbladder burst, 93 gallstones lodged into his liver which is very rare.

So this tuesday 10/22/19 i took my mom to have routine blood work done and they had order a amylase and lipase which amylase came back at 114 and lipase came back at 76, went for a ct with contrast on friday came back with a large hital hernia and that the pancreas appears normal.
