Olifat (also known as Yelafath, Orofat, Iolofath or Wolphat) [1] is a trickster god in Micronesian mythology. Olifat was the grandson of the god Anulap, the son of the god Lugeilan and the mortal woman Tarisso. Tarisso was the daughter of the octopus goddess Hit.

The Micronesian hero, whose exploits are recounted in the legends of that people. He was the son of Lugeilan, his mother a mortal woman. He decided to visit heaven on a column of smoke, in order to claim the recognition of his celestial relatives. This brought about a long war between the sky gods and himself, and his own death.
