2015年12月12日 · I use the Hay Chix Freedom Feeders and have to say that they are fantastic. We do have 1 horse (out of 4) that can chew a hole in the net but we found out that if we take the net off and move it to the opposite side it lasts longer. She …
Best Hay Nets - The Horse Forum
2021年3月29日 · Hay Chix. I resisted for years, but once I tried them I was a convert. I have four -- two whole-bale bags (40 lb bales) and two half-bale bags with smaller holes (not the very smallest they make though). My horse will rip any of those webbing bags to pieces in short order. The cheapo feed store nets only last a year or two.
Recommend slow feeder hay net? - The Horse Forum
2025年3月10日 · Hay bags are easier to fill than nets and they do last longer, but still have to hassle of hanging them up, which you don't have with the Hay Chix systems If the horses aren't going to be eating off the ground, then corner hay racks are by far the most durable and easier to fill - yes, the initial cost is more, but in the long term, they will ...
Your Experience with Round Bale Hay Nets | The Horse Forum
2012年12月8日 · I made one out of a 10x20 hockey net. I bought a cinch strap from the Cinch Chic's website. I put the hay in it and put in the round bale feeder, that way they can't get into the net. Works wonderfully! Hay lasts longer, no mess tossed out around the round bale feeder.
Freedom feeders, worth it? - The Horse Forum
2016年11月24日 · I still use slow nets, big ones, from Hay Chix and recently I bought one from Handy Hay Nets. I cut a bale-sized hole in my loft floor, attached the net below it, and drop the hay down.
Slow feed hay bag - The Horse Forum
2019年10月5日 · Hay Chix are the best in my opinion. We have 3 half bale bags and a 6x6 round bale net. They're the only thing we use at rides because the horses don't end up dropping all of their hay on the ground with them like they do with the cheaper ones.
Dumb post - haynet suggestions? - The Horse Forum
2022年11月25日 · Hay Chix have nets with 2 1/2" holes. After seeing the quality and durability of Hay Chix nets, you'd be throwing away money getting anything other brand. They are worth the larger price tag and for those I've known that use them daily, they have yet to replace one.
Easy keeper, self regulate hay question. | The Horse Forum
2022年11月27日 · Because for example, I use a Hay Chix slow feed net that I can put on a huge round bale. And I leave them out on it 24/7. Two of my three horses would be obese if they just got to eat whatever they want (my geldings). Lilly does self regulate, it seems.

2024年3月27日 · Hay Chix products are fantastic - we have round bale nets, hanging nets, and then the square nets that can be hung on walls or gates. I love them, and they seem to last a really long time. Wilhelmina Helena - Minnie
Hay nets and frustrated horse - The Horse Forum
2022年5月13日 · Now I will also add that my experiences are referring to hay bags that I give my horses when they are tied to the trailer. On their own, they are on pasture 24/7 and don't need hay bags out there. I do, however, use a Hay Chix net on my round bales in the winter.
