2009年1月27日 · Hello, I recently purchased a Harman E CW 30 from a friend. You are correct that it is a great wood/coal stove. I burn wood in the evening and over night, then I throw coal in it all day while I am at work. When I get home it is back to wood. It works great. I have it in the basement, and it basically heats my whole house. I live in central PA.

If the stove says "coal only" then wood is only allowed to be used to start the coal fire. This is because the stove was never run through efficiency tests with wood as a fuel.

2021年11月20日 · I also insulated around the liners with the vermiculite. All last winter I ran the coal stove and the wood stove from basement when I wanted or needed to with no issues. Both worked flawlessly and safely. This year I can’t seem to get my Harman to take off with the coal. A kindling fire burns hot with rage and makes great coals.
