Hans Dorr (April 7, 1912 – April 17, 1945) was a German Waffen-SS Obersturmbannführer (Lieutenant Colonel) who served with the 5. SS-Panzer-Division Wiking and was a commander of the SS-Regiment Germania.

An enemy group of about 100 men that suddenly appeared in the rear of the Bataillon was destroyed/dispersed by SS-Hauptsturmführer Dorr and the swiftly assembled messengers of the Bataillon staff. Dorr’s Bataillon ultimately managed to eliminate the enemy forces (about 300 men strong) over the course of a 10-hour battle.

Hans Dorr was a German SS officer during World War II, known for his bravery and leadership. He was awarded the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords, one of the highest honors in the German military. Throughout the war, Dorr displayed exceptional courage, earning a total of 16 wounds in combat.

Hans Dorr trat 1934 in die SS-Verfügungstruppe ein und wurde 1938 zum Untersturmführer befördert. Während des Polenfeldzuges wurde er als Zugführer im SS-Regiment "Germania" eingesetzt. Als Kompanie-Führer der 10. Kompanie nahm er am Frankreichfeldzug teil.
