New Space Station Resupply Vehicle (新型宇宙ステーション補給機, Shingata Uchū Sutēshon Hokyūki), tentatively called HTV-X, is an expendable Japanese cargo spacecraft used for International Space Station (ISS) resupply missions. The spacecraft is under development by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) as the successor of H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV).

The HTV-X will transfer essential cargo such as large-sized devices for the ISS and life support goods for astronauts. The costs for the HTV-X will be cut down through compact designing and efficient operations.

Dec 21, 2024 · JAXA decided in 2015 to devlop an improved, cost-reduced version of the HTV uncrewed non-reusable cargo spacecraft, which is preliminary called HTV-X. Launched by an H-3 rocket, it maneuvers to the vicinity of the ISS, where the Canadarm-2 grapples the HTV-X and berths it to the ISS.
