2023年6月26日 · KeyBank Center, formerly known as First Niagara Center and HSBC Arena, opened its doors in 1996. With a seating capacity of 19,070 for hockey games and up to 20,000 for concerts and special events, the arena is the largest indoor venue in Western New York.

Assisted Listening Devices (ALD) are available free of charge at Guest Services for most events. You will be asked to leave your credit card or photo identification as a deposit for the device. A central FM transmitter services all seating areas. Arrangements can be made in advance by calling the Account Services Office.

The KeyBank Center is a sports arena in Buffalo, New York. The arena opened on September 21, 1996, and is the current home to the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

As for the arena, it’s unmemorable as are many of the other soulless buildings that opened in the 1990s after replacing beloved older barns. The arena is downtown, right by the Buffalo River and Lake Erie. This is a bit south of the skyscrapers in the city and also near Canalside.
