人乳头瘤病毒（HPV）是一种球形DNA病毒，广泛存在于自然界中，以人为唯一的宿主，非常耐受干燥并可以长期保存。 目前仅已知的150多种HPV亚型，根据其引起的疾病的严重程度，可以分为低危型和高危型。
