2014年10月19日 · This is what you can expect to find after removing the carry handle. When I acquired this HK 91 the previous owner did not include the carry handle. I don't think it saw much use, but the handle definitely carved in a gouge through the finish. They look good on there, but plan on keeping it on the rifle from then on. If the ends of the wire handle do not line up to each other use a vice or other tools to bend the ends so that they line up. Round and polish the ends that you just straightened to prevent damage to your receiver. Use a lot of oil during install.

The handle itself is going to show rubbing through the finish because when it is raised and lowered it will rub. The ends of the handle are deliberately offset to prevent it from flopping around.
