Developed by HK-USA staffers in the 1990s, the MP5K-PDW is an original concept of the personal defense weapon that mated critical features like a sturdy folding buttstock and extended barrel capable of mounting a sound suppressor onto the diminutive MP5K. All MP5Ks can be fitted with an optional folding buttstock (MP5K-PDW configuration). The MP5K shares the same characteristics of reliability, accuracy, ease of handling, simple maintenance, and safety common to all MP5 models. The chief difference from larger MP5 variants is the MP5K’s shorter receiver and shorter barrel.

The SP5K-PDW features a compact 5.83″ barrel, Navy-style threaded tri-lug, paddle magazine release and fluted chamber. Manufactured in HK’s Oberndork, Germany factory for the highest level of quality and precision machined components.
