HK11E is an improved version of HK11E. The HK11E introduced more three-shot bursts, a longer receiver and "drum" type sights. Like the HK11A1 before it, the HK11E can be switched to magazine or belt feed with minor modifications by the operator.

The HK11 was a German light machine gun that was produced by Heckler & Koch. The HK11 was developed in the 1960s as a heavy-barreled version of the G3, for use as a light support weapon. It was introduced alongside the HK21. Whereas the HK21 could feed from a belt or a magazine, the HK11 was magazine-fed only.
