H1000 vs IMR4831 powder | Sniper's Hide Forum
Aug 3, 2013 · H1000 is a great powder, but your not loosing in anyway if your rifle/barrel combo loves the 4831. In some cases the higher the load density the more accuracy you will see. That's where the H1000 comes in. Even just slightly approaching 70gr. with this powder, you will experience a compressed load. This load density is positive for accuracy a ...
Need H1000 Loads for New 300 PRC - Long Range Hunting Forum
Jun 14, 2016 · I would appreciate some recommendations for starting loads. I only have H1000, CCI 250 primers and the following bullets: 212 ELD-X, 225 ELD-M, and 215 Hybrids. I have trimmed the brass, run through Redding Type S bushing die and primed. The necks on the brass were extremely tight. Had to lube inside necks to (easily) run through carbide ...

300wm, H1000 vs RL26 pros and cons? - Long Range Hunting Forum
Mar 2, 2011 · I have used H1000 and Retumbo in my 24", 300WM, both delivering excellent accuracy, ES, and temperature stability. I switched from H1000 to Retumbo used with Berger 215's, 210 HVLD's and 200gr ELD-X's a few years back. I found that I could consistently get an extra 75-100FPS(2900-2950FPS) velocity over H1000.
IMR 7828 vs H1000 | Sniper's Hide Forum
Nov 13, 2011 · I was able to puck up a pound of H1000 at lgs but haven't used any yet as far as testing. Another problem is selecting brass! With the 7828ssc I was able to get really high velocities at about 3 gn less than book max mostly do to available brass? Now I'm going to try H1000. Feels like a crapshoot at this point in time! To many variances to deal ...

Aug 26, 2015 · I just recently picked up a Weatherby Backcounrty in 300 Win Mag. I am thinking of shooting 180 Accubonds, GMX, TSX, TTSX or Partitions. I want to use H1000 as i seem to have a fair amount of it on the shelf. Is the H1000 a powder sufficent for 180 grain bullets or would I be better off usign a...

My dilemma is what powder to use. I don't want to do an OCW work up for 3 powders, but I don't know which to choose. Right now I have a pound of H4831sc, H1000, and Retumbo.
300 PRC & 215 Bergers = how much H1000? - Long Range …
Oct 9, 2009 · Used FG215M primers, I suspect 80 grains of H1000 will kill brass from what I've read everywhere else ie primer pockets are done after 1 reload. People I talk to that shoot this gun at 79.2-79.5 grains and get 5+ reloads but i'm staying at 78.5, its fast enough for me, and yielded 0.46 MOA at 100.
Retumbo vs H1000 - Long Range Only
Feb 15, 2022 · I have used both in my 300WM with good success. Using 210 and 215 Berger’s, Generally running 2890-2910 with 76gr H1000 and 2960-2980 with 79gr Retumbo, both max, <.5MOA/<20ES. I have found similar relationship between the two powders in my 6.5x284’s, but using proportionately{by about 20gr), lower charge weights.

Oct 26, 2012 · Re: H1000 max load in 300 win mag 2" of tube is not going to cost that much fps. Something else is amiss. 77.5 should be closer to 3k. My load is 2925fps with a 208 A-max, hornady brass, CCI magnum primer, and 76.0 of H1000 from a 26" tube, stood off the lands .005. …
