Mar 14, 2019 · The grick and the giant spider already have pretty similar stats. They have the same AC and basically the same HP. One big difference is that the grick can make two attacks per turn. So the only change I would make would be to give the spider the multiattack feature so it can make a web attack and a bite attack on the same turn.

Nov 14, 2016 · The shambling mound bumped the party up to 4th level, and I'm concerned about the fight with the Grick Alpha maybe being too hardcore. The shambling mound seemed like a nice challenge and dealt enough damage to scare the players, but the Grick Alpha is 2 CR higher than the shambling mound and that spooks me out a bit.
