School Me on Gretsch Guitars - The Gear Page
2022年8月3日 · The pro series are amazing guitars. A local shop is a Gretsch dealer and they always have a big selection. I have owned a couple. Favorite is a Black Phoenix (Setzer signature model) which is kind of a modded, stripped down Falcon. Seems to have a fuller neck than other models I have played. The Electromatics I've tried out have been really ...
Gretsch neck size? - The Gear Page
2017年2月22日 · The other guitars I play a lot are a NoCaster and a historic LP JR.. which both have really large necks.. Once I got used to switching, and once I considered the neck part of that guitars personality, it wasn't a problem. With Gretsch guitars though, because of the variance between models.. I completely agree that it's best to play them first.
Quality of Gretsch's made in Japan? - The Gear Page
2015年11月19日 · I've been checking out some Gretsch's lately and noticed that a lot of the higher end ones are made in Japan. I know there's the USA custom shop ones they have, but that's a bit beyond the budget I'm looking to spend on my first Gretsch. Anyways, to get to the point, I'm curious how the quality of the Japanese made Gretsch's are.
What's the big deal about Gretsch guitars? | The Gear Page
2019年11月20日 · The Korean made Gretsch guitars are around 700-900, which is normal for Korean guitars. The Japanese made Gretsch guitars are 2200-2400 which seems pretty normal for a high quality Japanese made guitar. The really expensive ones are made in the Fender Custom Shop in the US.
NGD....Gretsch G2627T Streamliner - The Gear Page
2019年7月17日 · This thing caught my eye at GC over the July 4th weekend. I went back 4 times trying to find something I didn't like. Finally bit the bullet. I know it's not a traditional Gretsch but it's my first and I couldn't be happier. For the price and the tonal possibilities, I …
Talking Gretsch Bridges, the good, the bad.. - The Gear Page
2021年12月1日 · Yeah pretty much the same thing. Melita was a company that made bridges in the 50s. Gretsch bought them at some point. So if it says Melita on it it is old and if it says Gretsch it is modern. Weirdly a modern Gretsch one that came on one of my guitars developed a rattle over time but I've had no issues with a couple of vintage units.
Gretsch .vs. Duesenberg - The Gear Page
2010年12月21日 · The 12" neck radius on a 25.5" scale guitar is a bit different than other guitars. I believe most Gretsch's are 12" radius also but 24.75" scale. Old Gretsch's are very cool and I'm still on a search for one but I have not found one yet that I would trade for my Doozy.
Gretsch 6118 or 6120 - I need help! | Telecaster Guitar Forum
2009年7月9日 · TV Jones makes amazing pups and you want to try to get a set of his pups in your gretsch. I've heard good things about powertrons and dynas but don't have enough playing time on them to give you a confident review. Best way to look at Gretsch's is the body size/style. 6118, 6119, 6120, Falcons, have different bodies. Hope this helped a little.
hollowbodies - Gibson or Gretsch? | The Gear Page
2022年6月6日 · A hollow-body Gretsch is a totally different type of guitar. You know a Gretsch when you hear one. There are other models for harder rock with different humbuckers, but if it's 50s 60s Gretsch tones you want, then a Gretsch does that. I'd go for a hollow-body Gibson ES series if I was chasing something like later rock tones or hard rock with it.
Explain the Gretsch tone- what is so unique? | The Gear Page
2014年7月19日 · Sort of a dated 90's reference, but listen to the tune "Found Out About You" by the Gin Blossoms esp the first half of the guit solo to hear a perfect example of what a Gretsch can do that nothing else can. That uniqueness is the pickups in the middle setting with that tone switch down. Aka "that great Gretsch sound!'
