The Obsidian Spear is a tool and melee weapon which was added in update V.0.1 to Green Hell. Has a great attackspeed but mediocre range. It is capable of killing a native in about 3 hits. The different spears feature different attack reach in Green Hell.

You can throw them at land animals and fish. In addition, you can also use them during combat. However, you can't use spears to cut down trees.

Long Stick + Stone Tool + Rope will give you a Stone Spear, you can substitute Obsidian for stone as well to make a more powerful version.
