2018年12月29日 · Here’s a FN 1930 Greek contract rifle that I got from local gun show. I disassembled it and took some photos of the markings. It will be very much appreciated if collectors here can shine a light on the meaning of these markings and the history of this particular gun. Overall condition is very good with all matching serial number that I can find.

2021年8月7日 · The original FN bolt appears to have been used as a determining serial number which was repeated on the left side of the receiver. These also seem to have a different number ( but still Theta or Eta block) on the right side that would have been the rifle's serial number had they not been captured.

2024年5月27日 · Very good condition WWII Greek FN Model 1930 Mauser Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber that has a nice Greek crest on the receiver ring and Fabrique Nationale manufacturer markings on the side rail. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including receiver and bolt.

After World War I, FN manufactured Model 30 rifles whose design was derived from Mauser 98 style rifles. Due to a need for rifles between the World Wars, Greece ordered approximately 75,000 of these rifles from FN between 1930 and 1939. These rifles then were utilized during the Greco-Italian War, the German invasion, and the Greek resistance.

This Greek Mauser made by FN Herstal in the late 1930s is in good condition with about half of its bluing remaining and its stock showing heavy wear with the forward sling swivel/stock ring having worn the wood underneath down heavily.

2015年9月5日 · This is a Greek FN M1930 Mauser rifle used in WWII. It was likely used by the Greek Communist ELAS during WWII, or the Communist guerrillas during the Greek Civil War, or both. This rifle has a Tit0 Partisans-like star carved on the left side of the buttstock, next to the very faded round "Hellenic Republic" cartouche.

2016年2月24日 · So when I found this 1930 Greek FN Mauser at a local auction, I reviewed it carefully, tried to educate myself a little on it before bidding, and wound up winning the bid for far below a price where I'd have to think about it.
