2023年3月5日 · Welcome to the fastest growing color grading community! Whenever I grade slog it really doesn’t ever come out looking crisp when I shoot surfing. All my videos on my instagram @alchem.media are all slog 3 usually I drop a phantom lut or rec 709 over the footage and then try to tweak but as you can see it all looks washed out. Any advice ?

Optimal display of Log video on Rec. 709 screens requires color grading, when you will use lookup tables (LUTs). This conversion prepares the material for display on Rec. 709 screens. Unlike 1D LUTs, which mainly adjust luminance, 3D LUTs control hue, saturation, and brightness of each RGB color.

S-Logs are gamma curves developed by Sony to preserve more of the information captured by image sensors. Because video shot this way will be color graded, you will set a combination of gamma curve and gamut (specifically, an S-Gamut), with broader gamuts enabling you to retain more image information.
