Glattalpsee is a reservoir on the Glattalp plateau, above Bisisthal, in the municipality of Muotathal, Canton of Schwyz, Switzerland. The lakes water is used by the Sahli powerplant in Bisisthal to produce electricity.

This trail is great for birding, hiking, and running, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through October.

2018年9月11日 · Während die Region um den See im Winter zu einer der kältesten Gegenden der Schweiz zählt, hüllt sich die Glattalp im Sommer in ein saftig, grünes Kleid. Circa 800m westlich des Glattalpsees liegen das Berggasthaus Glattalp sowie die Glattalphütte des Schweizerischen Alpenclubs (SAC).

Once up at Glattalp, the loop begins with a short climb past Grossbodenkreuz before almost 10 kilometres of easy trails through Charetalp, the biggest karst landscape in Switzerland. The trail winds through a mix of grassy plateau and white karst, then passes three huts with free-roaming goats before a sudden ascent to Furggele (2,394m).
