2019年1月26日 · So to Gilfach Goch to see what kind of garden village is there. The route to follow is west along the M4 leaving to go north toward Llantrisant. Now the road runs along the River Ely then near Tonyrefail turn to the west into the Ogwr Valley.

2014年11月6日 · The route went up over the Western side of the Rhondda Fawr, down through the Valley below, round past Gilfach Goch, back up and finally coming down through the forest above Clydach Lakes. After a lot of careful map reading and navigating along old footpaths that had become bogs, 4 hours later we completed the circuit!

Gilfach Goch is a small, ex coal mining, village south of the Rhondda Valleys in the Ogmore (Ogwr Fach) Valley, South Wales. It is reputed to have once been home to the author Richard Llewellyn who based his novel, How Green Was My Valley in a fictional town that was very much based on Gilfach Goch.
