The GER Class E22 was a class of twenty 0-6-0 T steam locomotives designed by James Holden for the Great Eastern Railway. They passed to the London and North Eastern Railway at the grouping in 1923 and received the LNER classification J65.

James Holden built ten new 0-6-0Ts for branch line duties in 1889, known as the E22 class, and numbered 150-159. They were essentially a lighter version of the T18 shunting engines (q.v.), having frames one foot shorter at the rear and smaller side tanks holding 600 gallons, and their width over the cab, tanks and bunker was less than the T18s.

The Holden J65 (GER Class E22) 0-6-0T Locomotives. In 1889 James Holden designed his Class E22 (LNER J65) tank locomotive for light passenger duties. Similar to his earlier Class T18 (LNER J66) locomotives, the E22s were of lighter construction and had smaller cylinders. Smaller side tanks and a shorter cab were fitted.
