GEL supplements MIT’s technical education with the leadership skills that prepare young engineers for effective careers in engineering. Each year, more than 120 MIT undergraduates develop engineering leadership skills through our innovative experiential and theoretical coursework, and practice and reflection exercises.

Global Emerging Leadership Programs (GELP) is an organization aimed at developing leadership programs for students and young professionals through skill development, education abroad opportunities, leadership conferences, mentorship and guidance programs.

GELP bridges the gap between the leadership and soft skills taught in academia and those demanded by the workforce. GELP’s goal is to promote leadership development and to equip global leaders with the tools to create change and impact within their communities.
