2015年8月1日 · Initially the patterns were tight, but then I started using an x-spreader and was able to get the gun to pattern nicely. I was trying to keep the recoil very light so I went with 1/2 ounce of 8.5 shot. I prefer to use #7 TSS for geese, but with only 1/2 ounce of payload, I decided to use #8.5 to get more pellet count.
Geese with #4's Remington wingmaster HD | Duck Hunting Forum
2013年11月3日 · #4 is used by many Far North guides for geese, especially around Hudson Bay. They claim it slips in under the feathers and does not bounce off like larger shot and gives more head and neck wounds that usually result in quick kills. In a 1 1/4 ounce typical load, 4 has 100 more pellets than 2, now that is something to ponder.

Motion Decoys in your Spread | Duck Hunting Forum
2008年12月16日 · Windsocks have been used to hunt geese out of fields for a long time. These goose decoys operate the best with around a 10 mph wind and are used almost exclusively for snow geese. 2012年11月29日 · Are you shooting them at 15 yards, 25 yards, 35 yards, 45 yards or 50+? I've seen guys put their spread out with the farthest decoys 40 yards then take the birds at 45. These guys are still hunting "over decoys". Then I've also seen guys put out a huge goose spread 60 yards X 60 yards then shoot the geese when they fly within range off either side.

2014年7月28日 · We run about a dozen floaters and up to 3 dozen Real-Geese sillos. The results have been much better than when using floaters alone. Instead of looking at it as some decoys disappear to the birds as they circle overhead, think of it as an optical illusion style motion decoy.
