The GAZ-46, army designation MAV (Russian, малый автомобиль водоплавающий, small floating car), is a Soviet-made light four-wheel drive amphibious military vehicle that entered service in the 1950s and has been used by many Eastern Bloc allied forces since.

2018年9月17日 · When the war ended, the Soviet Union developed the GAZ-46 based on the design of the Ford GPA. It was slightly bigger to make it more buoyant in the water, but had the same basic layout and design of the original Ford model. Many Eastern Bloc countries used the vehicle for crossing lakes and rivers and for doing reconnaissance in rivers.

The GAZ-46 is an amphibious vehicle with four-wheel drive from Soviet production built from 1953 to 1958. The GAZ-46 is based on the GAZ-69 off-road vehicle. The Gorkowski Awtomobilny Zavod produced it, and it was given the name Armed Forces MAW. It's beneath the BAW, or "large buoyant vehicle."
