gasser guys, how long can ladder bar be???? - The Jalopy Journal
2009年10月10日 · My 61 Falcon may be getting some bars, and i want to make sure i still have separation of body/rear axle at launch to plant the tires. I've heard that too short a bar will bounce the rear from too violent of upward thrust on the body. The 61 Falcon gasser i'm building will be about 2900lbs and i'm hoping for 10.2s on the bottle, 11.0hs off ...

2020年10月20日 · Make custom ladder bar brackets and put them inside where they fit. Or mount quarter elliptics on the bottom of the frame and put the ladder bars outside like the early funny cars. Someone may look under and say, that's not traditional gasser, f__k 'em.

2012年8月21日 · I will sit down later and write out the details but ladder bars on a leaf spring run into binding issues. look at the Mopar leaf link systems of the late 60's early 70's , they use a slider on the spring to prevent the leaf spring from binding . the problem in a nut shell is the 2 front pivots (bars and springs) have 2 different arcs of travel and will …

Gasser ladder bars! What a joke! | The H.A.M.B. - The Jalopy Journal
2012年1月21日 · Well I purchased a set of 60 inch "gasser ladder bars" (it's what he called them) from Kermit Andrew. He sells these on E-B** , I payed my $328 dollars and what I recieved was unbelievable. The bottom tube on the one bar was cut too short and the bung was "welded" the end of the tube. Not even countersunk . The welds on these ladder bars are ...
Technical ladder bars with leafs sliders on the springs or not?
2014年1月21日 · And I am guessing that you want to run long gasser style ladder bars as well. Long bars will make the axle move in a shallower arc than what the springs do so again there is an induced bind. The axle to spring attachment needs to be either a slider or a rolling pivot so that everything can move in what ever arc is required.

2006年11月29日 · I'll check out the TractionMaster site. Traction Bars and 4 bars are a little newer tech than what I'm thinking of. Ladder bars, or these traction masters, with leafs or coils is more what I'm looking for. So what about Shakey Puddin, Kiwi Kev, Mr Dick, dragrcr50, Groucho, SamIyam and others that have gasser style cars now.

2020年4月13日 · It just depends on preference. I have a 1955 Thunderbird that was a 1960s-1970s gasser. It had the ladder bars all the way up to front door seam. It made absolutely no sense to me as to why. After seeing this graphic, it makes total sense to me. The whole point of a long ladder bar is to lift the front end up so that weight transfers to the ...
