Ganryu is mostly played as a very pressure heavy, poke character, wearing opponents little by little and frustrating them with rushdown until they break completely, almost like Steve in a way.

Ganryu arrives at the scene of the final battle, where Julia and Bob have been knocked out, and final boss mcbossface stands. Ganryu decides to protect them while they're down, leading to the final boss fight in-game. Ganryu struggles to keep up, but Julia wakes up, and together they manage to drive off the threat.

2014年6月16日 · Ganryu is an offensive based character, who thrives off of momentum, safe and hard hitting pokes, and full crouch mixups. He can also be played defensively though, personal style will dictate how you sumo around.

2023年5月31日 · Ganryu main here. Ganryu is extremely fun and unique, and I would love for his playstyle to return in Tekken 8. A lot of people complain about him being gimmicky, but he actually has one of the driest playstyles in the history of Tekken.

One other thing that's weird about Ganryu is that he has three big, slow launchers that can be hard to defend against. Debug 1 (aka hcf1) is a long ranged, -18 mid launcher with pushback and tons of evasion.
