2014年1月20日 · Who knows why my system behaves this way but it's a pretty clear cause and effect. If the game crashes 100% of the time within a few minutes and when I turn the fan speed up it stops crashing. Plus the fact that this phenomenon repeats itself with the GTX 780 and 980. Then there's not much uncertainty left. That's the problem and solution.

I have been using the program GPU-Z to monitor the temperature (I don't want to use Precision because from what I've read it is easy to make a mistake and damage to card).

2016年8月8日 · I then downloaded the latest drivers (even though I already had them before). Put GTX 980 back in. Installed new drivers with a clean install. Same problem. I repeated this process 3 times trying older Nvidia driver versions and no success with any of them. Reseating the GTX 980 each time as well, so I know it's not a hardware install issue.
