The NFHK N-P114-A OCuLink adapter is a 1st gen adapter, known to have ePCIe 4.0 reliability, hence advertised as PCIe 3.0 and requires your GPD Win Max 2's OCuLink port to be Gen4 -> Gen3 downgraded. Given the eGPU initially detected and worked, there's a chance a replacement OCuLink cable could correct the issue.
