2023年6月2日 · Regarding the G3/G17 gcode, there are two solutions: 1. Enable gcode_arcs in klipper config. 2. Change Z Hop type to normal (spiral uses G3 I believe). And one of the big reasons for using OrcaSlicer is Spiral Z Hop - I have it enabled. So I have to make sure that my klipper supports these commands.

2024年10月8日 · During this print and another after, I started seeing ‘Unknown command:’ errors, with “G3” or “G17” following. I did some searching around, here and elsewhere, and it seems because I have not enabled arcs these errors are populating.

2022年12月12日 · Added the G2/G3 arcs and the dummy command to printer.cfg and used the firmware and arcs without any issues. Updated Klipper to v0.11.0-13-g201f715b and now there is an error that G17 is already registered.

2023年3月19日 · I wouldn't use G2/G3 with Klipper. It will deteriorate quality and potentially slow the printer down. If a spiral lift results in G2/G3 when arc fitting is disabled, this is for sure a bug.

2024年2月16日 · Other than some overhead and additional traffic to the MCU, running a .1 or .01mm arc segment length wouldn't be a problem if Klipper's implementation of G2/G3 were generating the moves directly and sending them to the MCU -- because, if it did, it could calculate a single extrusion request for the arc and run it in parallel with the moves.

2021年6月12日 · G2 and G3 are for controlling arc moves. If you want to use the feature you need to activate it in the cfg: klipper | Klipper is a 3d-printer firmware. Indeed I have arc welder turned on in Cura (turned it off for now). Being new to Klipper it seems I got caught out by its philosophy: anything is turned off unless explicitly turned on.
