Southern California Koi Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue specializing in large Japanese koi fish and other pond pets. Our dedicated team of volunteers has successfully completed hundreds of onsite large koi rescues services since 2008 while successfully finding new forever homes for literally thousands of precious living jewels.

You can get high-quality, large koi at a fraction of what you would pay to a koi dealer or koi supply store when you adopt from our rescue ponds. You might get a champion-quality or rare koi fish. We often rescue champion-quality or rare Japanese koi, such as Showa, Kohaku, Kujaku, Chagoi, and more. We’ve done all the dirty work.

Our onsite koi rescue services are completely free of charge. After finishing quarantine, our rescued koi are placed into new properly vetted new forever homes through adoption. We can transport any koi, regardless of size or quality, and we are highly experienced at transporting large quantities of koi safely without issue.

We will rescue your koi fish, as well as repurpose any of your pond materials, equipment, and more. Our goal is to provide surrendered koi with amazing, happy, and healthy environments in our rescue and foster ponds. We also rehome koi for a small rehoming fee which is a fraction of the cost of purchasing koi from a koi supplier.
