This equates to 9.255:1 compression ratio using the replacement head gasket. The thing thats bothering me right now is that the pistons averaged .001" below the deck, the motor still had the Ford main bearings in it plus the motor was filthy and appears to have never been torn down. I have never seen any factory Ford motor with such a tight quench.

2006年2月28日 · Yeah, I was able to find specs on the f150, bronco, etc. The lift on the intake lobe is almost the same as the h.o. cam with alot less duration and the oldstyle firing order. So this cam has gotta go! Do you have any opinions on the various ford racing cams? (e303 etc.) This motor is going to be carburerated, 3000 stall c-4 auto in a mustang 2.

2007年10月23日 · All 302/5.0 intake manifolds are interchangeable with any year 302/5.0. A Weiand stealth dual plane intake would work great on there with your choice of carb. The C4 will bolt up but keep in mind that a '68 302 has a 28oz imbalance on the dampner and flexplate, whereas an '89 302 has a 50oz imbalance.

2021年10月17日 · I ordered a 2022 Ford f150 and can make changes up until it goes into production. I wanted the 5.0 for its simplicity until I heard the new ones have cylinder deactivation which I hate. With this being said would you go with the 3.5 ecoboost or powerboost? It will mostly be an around town daily with occasional towing and road trips, thanks!

2018年5月22日 · The Ford 5.0 is a 4V DOHC engine with independent variable cam timing. This makes the Ford engine much larger, heavier, more costly to make and repair and (in my opinion) noisier. The 5.0 2018+ in the F-150 most likely won't produce the full 395hp and 400 lb-ft unless using premium fuel (which Ford recommends).

2007年2月22日 · I usually pull the number 1,3, and 5 spark plugs and put a wadded up piece of paper towel in 3 & 5. Put the motor on TDC compression stroke on number one, put the paper towel wad in the plug holes of 3 & 5 then spin it over by hand.

Ford had drunk engineers that did the factory programming for the 10 speed, same for Explorer, same for our GT Stang. Luckily custom tune at local shop completely fixes it, and gets rid of the wonky gear skipping yet still gets better mileage (so much for the bs gear skipping for epa, only helps Ford Cafe ratings, not IRL).
