To more specifically address pandemic flu, MU established a Pandemic Flu Assessment Team in 2006. The work of that team enabled the campus to be prepared for the outbreak of novel H1N1 flu in 2009. MU continues to monitor local, national and international events to be as prepared as possible in the event that a pandemic does occur.
