FloEFD rotating region -- CFD Online Discussion Forums
2019年8月27日 · Hello Boris, Thank you for the detailed reply. So just to clarify, the reason why the velocity vectors appeared to "pass through" the fins when I had them enclosed within the rotating region was because they were actually rotating with the reference frame, and so thus were not being recognized as stationary objects within the flow domain?
FloEFD - PC upgrade -- CFD Online Discussion Forums
2018年7月4日 · Yes, FloEFD can use all cores and CPUs in your single computer/node. As long as those CPUs are treated with the shared memory approach. FloEFD can also run on clusters which are recognized as individual computers/nodes where a solver license can run a project per node, but it cannot distribute a single the calculation over all nodes, this would ...
FloEFD fluid volume not recognized - CFD Online
2009年11月12日 · The fluid volume is still enclosed with solids. FloEFD gives rebuild errors and my "water in" and "water out" boundary conditions are not valid anymore. When I go to the "check geometry" window in FloEFD and try to find the fluid volume I get the following error: "Boolean operations failed. Please check your model."
Static Pressure, Total Pressure -- CFD Online Discussion Forums
2009年5月14日 · If you create a boundary condition for outlet always you can use static pressure. Environment pressure in FloEFD has two meanings. If you want to create inlet pressure by Environment pressure in Floefd it means total pressure. If you want to create outlet pressure by Environment pressure in FloEFD it means static pressure.
Any reason to use FLOEFD instead of STARCCM for hull evaluation?
2021年5月17日 · Simcenter FLOEFD is built for design engineers and with that, it needs to be usable and stable without the need for much numerical knowledge and complex meshing tasks which are not the job for a design engineer. So a designer wants to get results in a short time to make key design decisions.
heat transfer coefficient value in floefd - CFD Online
2016年4月28日 · I also noticed that floefd underestimates the heat transfer coefficient from the enclosure surfaces especially in free air models. And I am talking here compared with practice. The emisivity I use in the model is from the datasheets of the paint so I didn't make obvious mistakes. Also the heat transfer is laminar.

Flotherm vs Flotherm XT vs FloEFD - CFD Online
2015年10月13日 · FloEFD's E-Cooling Module has 2-R models, heat pipes, fans curves (do exist in the basic version but there is an additional database in the E-Cooling Module with fan curves), TECs (also in the basic version but again an extended database in the module), there is a black box model for a heat sink with fan as a kind of smart part but no specific ...
"High Mach Number flow exists"--tho i m running the sim at 5m/s.
2015年12月2日 · 4. Your mesh is way to coarse for any good result. Yes you used adaptive refinement but based on a really bad mesh the gradients are wrong already so the refinement will be wrong also. FloEFD or SWFS is good with fewer cells compared to traditional CFD tools but this is just too few.
FloEFD API -- CFD Online Discussion Forums
2017年3月13日 · You should specify the plots when setting them up in FloEFD and with right click on them and using the "Save as" option you can specify what should the image be in terms of resolution and view angle etc. and if you do this for all the plots you want and specify in the batch results what plots should be created.
