FireFTP is not like ftp://example.com; FireFTP is not like net2ftp or chromeftp; FireFTP doesn't need to access any external website, FireFTP, similarly to FileZilla, directly accesses your FTP Server using Firefox. FireFTP has 2 panels like Norton Commander. In short, there is no app like FireFTP in Chrome!

Feb 24, 2020 · It's a real bummer that the developer for FireFTP no longer has a browser that supports it. Looks like I no longer have a reason to use Waterfox as I already have plenty of other browsers and Waterfox no longer offers the reason I got it. I specifically added that browser when Firefox stopped supporting FireFTP after using it on Firefox for years.

Feb 26, 2017 · I use fireFTP as a simple FTP client, mostly for just touching things up on the server, and occasionally downloading some files back to my machine. The downloads always go straight to the root of the drive, but ideally I'd like them to drop straight to my Desktop or Downloads folder.

Today Firefox killed FireFTP by (again) autoupdating FireFTP without my permission, and I did my best to disable that nonsense in about:config). Result: none of the (over 100) FireFTP accounts can be logged on to, they suddenly all ask for a password. I do not have the time to to find all of the passwords and reconfigure FireFTP again.

Feb 26, 2017 · Open FireFTP URL and press Shift+Alt+T (Alternatively click on Tools in its menu bar). Go to Options. Then to Connections. Below Connection Recovery you can set Network Timeout option to a value between 1 and 600. Your current value must be 120. Also check if your Keep alive connection while idle option is checked.

I am using FireFTP 2.0.21 plugin on Firefox 32.0.3 to transfer files from PC to an Agilent E4438C Signal Generator. The instrument is connected via network switch to the PC. There is no problem browsing the remote directories and copying files around.
