Ficarra is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, located about 130 kilometres (81 mi) east of Palermo and about 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of Messina, in the Monti Nebrodi. It is surrounded by woods of hazel and olive trees.

The Sicilian town of Ficarra does not go unnoticed. This municipality is known because it was used as the perfect backdrop for Il Gattopardo, a historic book written by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.

Dal 1993 al 1996 partecipa alla serie televisiva Grand Hotel Cabaret. Nell'estate 1997 è tra i comici della trasmissione di Raiuno Va ora in onda.

2021年10月7日 · Salvatore Ficarra nel 2005 ha avuto un incidente d’auto a Palermo in cui una ragazza di 18 anni, Paola Catania, ha tragicamente perso la vita. L’attore, pur lievemente ferito, ha partecipato scioccato ai funerali della giovane, insieme al collega Valentino Picone.
