As a lot of the folks over at r/audioengineering/ might tell you, a fat guitar sound might actually be wrong for your mix, once all the other instruments are added. In particular, it's a common practice to 'high pass' pretty much everything except the bass guitar and bass drum, so that you don't have too much bass from anything else.
