Basch fon Ronsenburg is a playable character in Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. A disgraced knight, Basch had his name ruined throughout Ivalice when he was prosecuted for murdering King Raminas, contributing to the Kingdom of Dalmasca's downfall. His background is expanded upon in the manga version.

36-year-old Basch was a captain in the Order of the Knights of Dalmasca. A veteran of many battles, he was once considered a brave and valiant knight, until an inexplicable event led to him being branded a traitor to his country.

Basch is a playable character in Final Fantasy XII. He is a Knight -like physical-geared character by his stat growth: strong and resilient. He appears in the prologue as a support character and later as a guest, eventually becoming the fourth permanent character to join the party.

He will be a Final Fantasy XII party's first line of defense against physical enemies, and with a little luck, he can be an excellent support for said party. On his own, he is a strong attacker with a broad range of melee weapons at his disposal.

Out of everybody, Basch gets the highest natural amount of maximum hit points. His strength stat is only rivaled by Vaan, and he’s just as good at making combo attacks. When you look at a dude like Basch, I’m sure you think of a few very specific purposes for him in battle: the tank or the DPS. And you’d be right!

In a 12 job game he is my Ulahn /TM or in NG- he is my Machnist/Foebreaker (switching with Fran for Ulahn TM) But if you’re not playing 12 job you should play to his strictly offensive base capabilities.
