By shortening the P9R's slide and barrel, and chopping off a good portion of the grip frame, FEG arrived at the P9RZ. The P9RZ appealed to both our bluntly utilitarian side, as well as that portion of the CRUFFLER.COM staff that likes firearms that are just, well, plain weird.

It looks like a nice little 9 MM for concealed carry (10 rounds), but how does the quality compare to CZ? (trigger feel, finish, slide to frame fit, etc.) At 31 oz, it seems somewhat heavy, and presumably it's an all-steel gun.

2004年7月30日 · About five years back, I bought a new (then) FEG-made P9RZ. Heard great things about it, with its cut down grip frame, and standand length barrel, the design was interesting. It seemed to feel nice, would have been a great carry gun. However, times got tight and it was sold to a friend without me firing a shot through it.

This variant had a shortened barrel and frame, a ten round magazine, a bobbed hammer, and a hammer drop safety. I bought one of these to carry as a back-up, but found it too heavy to be a practical back-up.
