2013年7月27日 · A few months ago I bought a third key fob for a family member. I had to show BMW my driver's license and registrtation. The key fob was sent to the dealer with the mechanical key already cut. I do not know if the electronic fob was totally virgin or if it could only be mated to my specific BMW. I think the latter but I do not know.

2021年2月17日 · ISTA recognizes #2 key only as "invalid" and say it's a faulty key. It detects this key from a distance and able to check battery status, field strength via ISTA. But when I do the "enable key" and "learn to information the key" it completes the process but the remote button features do not work, only the column-placement START/STOP works.

2023年5月23日 · The vehicle requires the key be next to the column in order to start the car. It acts just like the key battery is dead. I have replaced the key battery using multiple different brand new Duracell brand batteries as well as Energizer. I thought maybe the first key was bad so I had BMW make a second key, no luck.

California, I got different cost to order the key fob, different price to have the key cut and different price to program the key. Dealer #1 $328 for Key Fob $54 to cut key $189 to program Dealer #2 $299 for Key Fob $48 to cut key $160 to program
