The Renault R26 is a Formula One racing car, used by the Renault F1 team in the 2006 Formula One season. The chassis was designed by Bob Bell, James Allison, Tim Densham and Dino Toso with Pat Symonds overseeing the design and production of the car as executive director of Engineering and Rob White leading the engine design.

Electronic systems: Integrated Step 11 chassis/engine electronics and software co-developed by Renault F1 Team and Magneti Marelli. Transmission: Seven-speed semi-automatic titanium gearbox with one reverse gear.

With a V8 engine delivering 800 hp, the Renault R26-03 reached speeds over 300 kph, powering the Renault team to the constructors’ title in the 2006 world championship. Reigning world champion Fernando Alonso took the driver's title for the second year running, even with Michael Schumacher on the grid that year.

Giancarlo Fisichella finished first at the Malaysian grand prix sandwiched between Alonso victories at Bahrain and Australia. While the next two races at San Marino and the Nurburing would be won by Michael Schumacher and his Ferrari, Alonso kept the R26 right there coming in close behind in the second.
