I get my Evo5 in a few days (my first Evo) and I am doing a bunch of learning in preparation. I have read a couple times that the Evo5 ecus are actually pretty good and can be directly tuned via OBD2. Does anyone have some knowledge about this to confirm or deny this?

2020年7月27日 · Thank you! I love it too! It took a while to piece everything together but overall paid off in the end. The hood is a real Evo 5 Carbon Fiber hood, Trunk is real as well.

2018年11月9日 · The Evo5/6 use the same type black box, flashable ecu, with a Renesas H8 microcontroller, as the 98-99 DSMs. The Evos had hardware like the Secondary Air System Antilag, which intrigued me. As well as real rally inspired and tested maps and code that I wanted to decipher and compare.

2021年9月12日 · Thanks. Last Fall and Winter my windows were soaked even though the humidity was 50 or less. We did keep the curtains closed which I know doesn't help but even keeping a 6 inch gap open didn't make much of a difference.

2018年2月4日 · I own an evo 7 lhd. It originally came from France but I think it may have been built in the big UK plant. I don’t know for sure but I think only 1000 of the evo 7’s were made lhd, I honestly didn’t even think they made lhd versions of the 4,5, and 6.
