So therefore I would suggest checking the label first -- if the label says its CAT6a, its rated up to 10Gbps which would cover 5Gbps per second.

2018年10月5日 · That said, the thickness of the cable might give you some clues - Cat6 cable is generally thicker and less flexible because it has a plastic divider seperating the 4 pairs to reduce cross-talk (see this link for a diagram of the cross section). These cables also often use slightly thicker copper cables.

If you get the colors wrong, but all colors are connected to the same pins on both ends, it should still work as a cat3 cable with a max of 100mbps. –

2019年8月1日 · Try to connect one switch and one PC, set the NIC speed 10H - 100H - 10F -100F - 10A - 100A - 1000A and detect if the speed/duplexing which allows to connect exists. If so, test these speeds for packet lost - the upper speed without it can be used. You may also try all non-standard 2-pair combinations to achieve stable 10/100 connection.
