2018年10月3日 · ETHER 2 has better balance from top to bottom across the spectrum. It does nuance and micro detail better and is the most comfortable headphone that I’ve ever owned or auditioned. Even more comfortable than my warm blanket hd650 with a set of well-worn pads.

2018年12月9日 · Strangely, ether 2 sound and measure very bad with Schiit Fulla 2. I typically use fulla 2 as a measuring dac-amp. But when I connected E2 to fulla 2, the result was shockingly bad. And there wasn't anything wrong with either E2 or Fulla 2.

2018年10月3日 · Started listening using the slow filter on the ADI-2 DAC. The Ether 2 is a bit high on 15 kHz and up. Combined with a mix that is heavy and this frequency range, the treble can sometimes be a bit too much for me (kinda young ears). Using the slow filter attenuates this range without doing much else.

2018年10月3日 · All 3 pads showcase some the 2 main quirks the Ether 2 has, that have been measured elsewhere: The Ether2 has a slight depression at 4k, and slight peak at 8k. The Stock pads and perforated leather seem to both have their 8k peak at slightly higher than where 5k is. The Suede should be the smoothest here, as it is lower than 5k.

Like I already posted in another thread, it takes me a good amount of effort and concentration to hear planar-weirdness with E2. Still there but barely audible. I also suspect that E2's diaphragm is not as thin as Audeze's recent products ...

2018年10月3日 · There are several companies selling headphones at or around the $2k price and all have different strengths. I opted for the Ether 2 over others for several reasons (below) and have not been disappointed. Pros: Fantastic for jazz, small ensemble, solo artists and acoustic. This is where I spend most of my listening time.

2019年1月26日 · Ether 2 is a big departure from ether flows in every criterion. Tonality-wise empy is rather closer to efo. But I am not sure if I can call "efo to empy" upgrade..
