The Fall and Winter 1936 Sears catalog says this about the Robin: “New streamlined motorcycle type frame with new Zeppelin-type corrrugated tank. Two built-in control buttons; one for headlight, one for horn. Large hinged door at front of tank for easy access to tool compartment.

The first two years featured a frame with a lower top bar which created a longer seat tube that was prone to breaking so the ’38 is a one year only frame. The Robin is very popular among collectors due to its unique Zeppelin style tank. The horn is located in the headlight housing which is why it’s ‘vented’. Owner: Shawn Sweeney

Up for auction is a 1938 Elgin Robin Prewar Bicycle. Its in really good shape with all the original fenders and original steel Zeppelin gas tank. No rust or pitting in the tank its in excellent shape. The bike was painted blue and white years ago, they wanted it to match their street rod. The luggage rack, sprocket, head light they painted silver.

2013年2月11日 · This bike was listed on Craigslist and came out of a barn/shed in Michigan. It’s a mix of a distressed restoration and some original paint–mostly the frame and fenders. While removing the blue and yellow, I couldn’t save any of the white. The white seemed ‘softer’ and no matter how slow I went, I couldn’t save it.
