Ei played her part as one half and the other eventually died so she took over as the public Archon as well. Raiden Shogun is a puppet created by Ei after these events.

Players can tell the difference between Ei and the Raiden Shogun by looking at their eyes. When Ei’s burst is active, her eyes glow, while the Raiden Shogun’s eyes remain normal. Ei is a formidable fighter, and her abilities include summoning thunderstorms, creating lightning strikes, and unleashing powerful electro attacks.

By the conclusion of Inazuma’s main storyline, the Traveler discovers that Raiden Ei has temporarily disabled most of the Shogun’s functions.

"Ei" is the kan-on [Chinese-derived] reading of 影 (yǐng, "shadow"); her Constellation's name is Latin for "Shadow Empress"; both allude to her history as the Body Double for the original Electro Archon and her twin sister, Makoto. "Ei" is also the kan-on reading of 永 (yǒng, "eternity"), a clear allusion to her ideal.

Summons up to 3 eyes that unleash a flurry of slashes shortly after appearing, each dealing 5.6% ATK ×4 as Electro DMG.
