In 1992, fossils of a large theropod found at Como Bluff in Wyoming contained skull, shoulder girdle, pelvic, and rib elements. They were named by Robert T. Bakker et al. as the species Edmarka rex.

Edmarka is a dubious genus of megalosaurid that lived in North America during the Late Jurassic. Edmarka must have been an apex predator in the Morrison Formation during the Late Jurassic. Along with Torvosaurus, Allosaurus and Saurophaganax (if Edmarka is a valid genus) would have been at the top of the food chain.

Edmarka Dinosaur is a genus of herbivorous ornithopod dinosaur that lived approximately 170 million years ago during the Late Jurassic Period in what is now the western United States. The type species, E. rex, was discovered in the Morrison Formation of Montana in 1998.

It contains two currently recognized species, Torvosaurus tanneri and Torvosaurus gurneyi. In 1979 the type species Torvosaurus tanneri was named: it was a large, heavily built, bipedal carnivore, that could grow to a length of about 10 m (33 ft).
