The EMC E5 is a 2,000-horsepower (1,500 kW), A1A-A1A passenger train-hauling diesel locomotive manufactured by Electro-Motive Corporation, and its corporate successor, General Motors' Electro-Motive Division (EMD) of La Grange, Illinois.

CBQ 9911A is preserved as such. An E5A, it spent some time as CS 9952A in the late 60's. Named Silver Pilot, it operated the Texas Zephyr before getting brought to the Illinois Railway Museum, firstly as 9952A then being restored as CBQ 9911A.
